Description
Writer-director Albert Brooks is outstanding as a comedian-filmmaker who is sent on a mission by the U.S. government to discover what tickles the Islamic funny bone. His foreign policy is to speak quickly and carry a big shtick, so he breaks out his best stand-up stuff, tries a ventriloquism act and even gives improv a shot. Fred Dalton Thompson and Penny Marshall play themselves.
