Description
Carcass is one of the few bands that could make Megadeath sound like the Beach Boys by comparison. Growling, brutal, nihilistic, and still possessed of a subtle sense of sophistication somehow, Carcass continues to refine their fusion of grindcore and black metal. Unlike some of their contemporaries, they demonstrate true musicianship to go along with all the seething rancor–note guitarist Bill Steer’s ornate (though still shredding) solos. Not for the whole family, NECROTICISM will nonetheless stimulate those who crave sounds both volatile and menacing.
